THE Ebenezer Gospel Festival, which provided a platform for gospel artists to perform at, was held at the Bongweni Youth Centre last Saturday and was well attended.

Yanga Mbangatha, one of the festival organisers said most gospel artists are not given opportunities to perform at events, and as a result are unmotivated.

Mbangatha called on government departments and organisations to give them a chance to entertain and spread the word of God through music. “Kokstad has many unknown talented young people who need to be acknowledged and supported.

“I am working with people to get performances for gospel artists so they can grow their music,” said Mbangatha.

Gospel artists who performed included Anele M, Ntlantla Khumalo, Zikhona Ndzwanana, Nolly Fumba, Mandla Mpinane, Nhlanhla Melusi and poets Abongile Bubu and Mzulungile Msiya.
