Highflats boy (16) missing

POLICE are seeking assistance from the public in locating a 16-year-old boy from Highflats.

Bongumenzi Mkhize of Springvale area in Highflats was last seen on March 31.

It is alleged that he was herding cattle and did not return home.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane said that Bongumenzi left all his belongings behind.

“All his personal belongings were left behind at his home, including his cellphone. He was last seen wearing black and white shorts,” said Zwane.

“The inquiry is being led by Sergeant Pretty Maphumulo of the Port Shepstone Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences unit (FCS),” said Zwane.

An appeal is made for anyone who may know of Bongumenzi‘s whereabouts or has seen him since his disappearance, to contact Sergeant Pretty Maphumulo at 071 740 0527 or 039 834 1013, Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or their nearest police station.
