Hijackers pose as police

2018-06-08 06:00

POLICE are still looking for a group of hijackers who posed as police officers and stole a Corsa bakkie from a 32-year-old man in Kokstad last Saturday.

SAPS spokesperson Captain Dumisani Ncongo said the man was driving the bakkie near the Thafeni area when he came across the unknown men at 10 pm.

“The victim was stopped by the men who pulled him out of the driver’s seat and beat him up.

“They told him that they were investigating police officers and later drove away with the bakkie,” said Ncongo.

A case of car hijacking was opened and no arrests have been made. — Supplied.
