Infant discovered in a plastic bag

KOKSTAD SAPS opened an inquest docket after the body of an unknown infant was discovered in a Shayamoya dumping site on Tuesday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Captain Dumisani Ncongo said the infant was found wrapped in a plastic bag with a broken skull and bruising on the body.

“The infant was discovered by people who work at the dumping site who informed police,” said Ncongo.

The infant was taken to a government mortuary for post mortem tests. — Supplied.
