IN a bid to promote relations between municipalities and team-building, the Greater Kokstad Municipality is hosting inter-municipal games today at the Riverview sports ground.

One of the organisers, Ward 5 GKM councillor, Ntobeko Mavuka said some of the sporting codes to be played soccer, netball and volleyball.

“We will also have recreational games like egg and spoon, relay, sack race and tug-of-war,” he said.

He said municipalities taking part include Harry Gwala, Alfred Nzo, Matatiele, Umzimvubu, and Izinqoleni.

“We invited our neighbouring municipalities, both local and district, to participate in the games which will help us relax in an out-of-work environment,” Mavuka said.

The public is invited to watch the games.
