KOKSTAD pupil Sisipho Motsa (15), is reaching high after being selected as the U15 goalkeeper at Rosina Sidibane Sport Focus School in Pretoria.

Sisipho was part of 400 pupils who entered the school’s competition in March, of whom 20 were selected.

Sisipho is in Grade 9 at Mount Currie Secondary School, but will now complete his education at the school

“My career in sport started when I played for local teams Vibe-Lezinto FC, Lucky Star FC, and Mount Curry School’s team. I am happy about this opportunity.”

His father and the school’s coach, John Motsa, said his achievement will encourage other pupils to take part in sport.

Former Banyana Banyana player Yola Jafta trained Sisipho at Mount Currie.

“I am training young Kokstad footballers to play for national teams, which I am proud about.”
