TO make sure that pupils are warm during the winter season, Kokstad Wholesale Liquors donated new shoes to pupils from two schools in Kokstad on Tuesday.

The store manager Siziwe Mnyenjwa visited the Kokstad Public Primary School and Nomzamo Primary School and handed over shoes to selected pupils identified by teachers.

“We give pupils shoes to wear during winter so they feel warm during the cold season.

“We also want pupils to feel confident when they go to school,” said Mnyenjwa.

Mnyenjwa said that donating to the needy is also part of giving back and thanked the community of Kokstad who she said kept supporting the store.

Mnyenjwa said that it was their first time donating shoes to pupils and the initiative was going to soon move to other schools in Kokstad.

School principal from Kokstad Public Primary School, Siphesihle Mkhize, thanked the liquor store for the hand over, and said that some pupils come from homes where their parents are depending on social grants for living.

Teachers also appreciated the store and called for other givers to do the same for other pupils.
