THE Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality will continue to be a pioneer development with the new initiative of agri-tourism set to change the fortunes of community members.

Agri-tourism will lead the municipality to the new pathways as it plays a huge role and involves in agricultural based operation to brings visitors to farms.

On August 27, an agreement was signed between Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Municipality tourism unit and Underberg Farmers Association to transform economic landscape of communities and to entail educational elements.

The Duzi 2 Sani 4X4 Expedition event, which will be held next month, will also receive much support from local farmers.

“Promotion of tourism will bring many benefits to people and agri-tourism has the capacity to create more source of income and jobs for people,” said Andile Zwezwe, the Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality tourism manager.

Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma Municipality communication officer, Sikhumbuzo Sethuntsa, said public and private partnerships will play a critical role in the growing of rural economy and social cohesion to people.
