AS part of responding to the call of volunteerism in honour of the late humanitarian Nelson Mandela, local store Spargs Wholesale Supermarket donated groceries to the Elonwabeni Old Aged Home in Bhongweni on Wednesday.

Next Wednesday, July 18, South Africa will celebrate global icon Nelson Mandela’s centenary, with many people expected to come together under the #ActionAgainstPoverty initiative.

The Nelson Mandela Foundation encourages people to inspire change and make every day a Mandela Day by spending 67 minutes of their time giving back to the less fortunate.

Elderly people from the old age home sang as they celebrated receiving the donation.
