MATATIELE SAPS have asked the community to help in identifying relatives of an unknown man, suspected to be mentally unwell.

Police spokesperson Captain Raphael Motloung said the man, who can speak Sotho, was seen in Matatiele and is now being accommodated at a place of safety until his family is found.

“The man told police that he was born in Matatiele but did not specify his village.

“He said his name was Samuel Malan,” said Motloung.

He asked anyone with information to contact their nearest police station.
