Matatiele Local Municipality viewpoint

WARM greetings to the readers of this viewpoint.
200 pupils receive school shoes
Last Saturday at the Maluti Civic Centre, 200 pupils from all 26 wards in Matatiele received shoes donated by good Samaritans, “Uzusithwale” group. The event was aimed at bringing a smile to less privileged children.

The municipality would like to extend a word of gratitude to the organisers and sponsors of the event that saw a need to donate school shoes.

Drought is upon us - water-saving tips to remember
Following the huge shortage of water around Matatiele and surrounds, we request communities to conserve the little bit of water we have by adhering to the following:

Turn the tap off between washing your face, brushing your teeth and or shaving.
Take a five-minute shower a day instead of a bath, as it uses a third of the water as opposed to bathing in a bath tub, thus saving 400 litres a week. Showering can use up to 20 litres of water a minute, do not overfill or excessively backwash your swimming pool.
That is all from us for now. Until next time, stay safe and be blessed.
Thank you sweet people from sweet Matat, a destination of choice and excellence.
