Mayor attends Brics summit

THE mayor of Harry Gwala District Municipality and the provincial chair of South African Local Government Authority (Salga) Mluleki Ndobe is part of a government delegation that visited China this week. They return to South Africa this weekend.

Ndobe is attending a one-week programme with delegates from from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (Brics). This year, China is to host the ninth Brics summit.

According to Ndobe, South Africa will benefit a lot in China.
“At this gathering we will be sharing best practices in the strengthening of economic development and job creation in the manufacturing industry, automotive industry, agriculture and mining.”
