GREETINGS to all residents of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-
Zuma Municipality.

Christmas is the day which we can reflect on what we have achieved thus far and what we want to make with our lives in future, it is also a day of caring, giving and receiving, and showering those around us with all the love they deserve, and receiving their love and care in return.

It is a time of happiness and joy, but Christmas is also a stark reminder of those less fortunate than us. Those people who have lost everything, their loved ones and those who care about them.

Among them are the poorest of the poor, as well as many small children who do not know whether they will have a meal on Christmas Day.

When we sit down to enjoy our Christmas lunch, let us spare a thought for those underprivileged people and pray that one day they will be able to share in all the privileges that we, very often, take for granted.

The municipality is committed to building a better future for all, and each and every one of us should participate in achieving this wonderful goal.

There will be all kinds of festivities at this time and our wish is that you enjoy it to the fullest. We hope the many visitors to our shores will visit some of the many exciting attractions this wonderful municipal area has to offer, including our internationally acclaimed Drakensberg.

On behalf of myself, the mayoral committee, councillors, municipal management and officials of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, I wish the residents and visitors of Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma municipal area, a wonderful and blessed Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

On December 14 the municipality held a Christmas party for orphaned and vulnerable children in Ward 11 as well as the launch of a women structure that will deal with the day-to-day issues that women and children face every day.

This initiative by the Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality and stakeholders in Sukuma Sakhe will bear positive results in the long run as we believe we are building a better community for our children, Sisazoqhuba nango 2018. Stay blessed.
