HARRY Gwala District netball players are preparing to defend the championship at the South African Local Government Authority (Salga) games in Richards Bay from December 8 to 11.

Team captain Siyasanga Estrice said they have a strong defender, Refilue Nketsa, and good attacking players.

“I have told players to concentrate on defence. The team wants to celebrate victory after the games,” said Estrice.

The team has held many training sessions at Riverview Stadium in preparation for the games. On November 24 and 25 they went to Bloemfontein and played friendlies with schools, also in preparation for the games.
