KOKSTAD farmers and business people rescued Elonwabeni Old Age Home by donating groceries on Friday after reports of irregularities and the need of food for residents.

Concerned Kokstad people asked business people and local farmers to donate groceries for the elderly residents. One concerned person, whose grandmother lives at the home, Ntandazo Nyembezi, thanked those who responded so quickly.

The home’s manager, Luvuyo Nongimba, was overwhelmed by the donation. A committee of six community members was formed to ensure the institution runs smoothly.
