2016-06-10 06:00

TWO unknown suspects demanded money from an 84-year-old woman of Gobizizwe village in Matatiele last Friday. The woman and a 60-year-old friend were returning home from a tavern at around 11pm.
When the woman said she had no money, the suspects shot and killed her.
“The 84-year-old woman was killed and the 60-year-old man was injured, and transferred to hospital,” said SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Raphael Motloung.

Allegedly the suspects also killed two men and critically injured another two at Mengini village on the same night. The victims were drinking together when the suspects demanded money.

No arrests have been made and police appeal to anyone to come forward with information.

Recently Fever published a story about Maduduma Pakkies (77), who was strangled to death and her body put into a trunk.
An 18-year-old youth of Shenxa village in Matatiele was arrested on Friday by Afsondering police for allegedly killing Pakkies.
Motloung said the youth appeared in Maluti Magistrate’s Court on Friday, but the case was postponed for bail application.
