Bhubesi Football Club players were awarded certificates and medals at a ceremony at the Thuntulwana Hall Kokstad on Saturday.
Jonathan Grieves, Justin Vunguvungu, Zimisele Nonduku and Ntlahla Cele were awarded for their outstanding performances in the 2015 and 2016 league.
Team secretary Zolani Siqwayi said players were awarded for playing well during the local league, which started last year.

“We awarded players to motivate youngsters and promote social unity among the young people of Kokstad. The team had series of sessions where players were educated about life in general, and careers.”

At the event councillor Lwanda Madikizela commended the team for awarding players.

“The team is playing an important role of removing young people from the streets and away from crime. I appeal to other teams to do the same.” - Supplied.
