A CASE of theft of a motor vehicle was opened after a short-base Toyota Hilux was stolen from a yard in Marikana in Kokstad last Saturday morning.

The 36-year-old owner of the vehicle told the police that the vehicle was stolen while he was sleeping. SAPS spokesperson Captain Dumisani Ncongo said the vehicle owner heard the vehicle idling and when he went to investigate it was already gone.

The vehicle’s registration number is NCW10631 and anyone who sees it is asked to contact nearest police station.
