Prayers for a Safe Easter

2017-04-21 06:00

MEMBERS of Horseshoe Religious Forum prayed for a safe Easter weekend last Saturday.
James Mashwawu, chairperson of the forum, said the high rate of road fatalities over Easter holidays needs prayer.

He asked drivers to abide by the rules of the road and not to drink and drive.

Since last Thursday the roads have been busy as holidaymakers go to their destinations for the holidays. Traffic officers from Greater Kokstad Municipality and Department of Traffic manned road blocks on the N2 between Kokstad and Port Shepstone.
Nyaniso Msiya, manager of community safety said traffic police will focus on the roadworthy of vehicles, drunk drivers and dangerous weapons.

Msiya cautioned people to wear bright clothes when walking on the road at night.
