MATATIELE SAPS and crime prevention went to Bergview and St Monica High schools to search pupils for drugs and dangerous weapons last Thursday.
SAPS spokesperson Captain Raphael Motloung said some pupils are allegedly using drugs at school.

SAPS also searched school bags and classrooms, but found nothing.

“After the officers completed the search they talked to pupils about the dangers of using drugs and encouraged them to stay away from drugs,” said Motloung.

The operation is to continue in other schools.
