Reviving local football

2018-11-09 06:00

AS part of reviving local football in Ixopo, local coach and football player Musa Dlamini has said the new Ixopo Football Stream will be working hard to develop young footballers. He was speaking to the Fever ahead of the local football league opening this weekend. Dlamini coaches Amarazo FC football players.

A new Ixopo Football Stream structure was recently appointed to facilitate all league games until April next year and Dlamini was appointed as co-ordinator. “The new structure will create junior leagues and develop relationships with sponsors to support local football,” Dlamini said.

On Sunday, the league will open with a game between Stonebreakers FC and Ixopo Masters at 10 am and Bombers FC versus Flicks United at 11 am.

On November 6, Sweepers will be facing Amarazo FC at 9 pm and, on the following day, Strikers FC will face Ixopo Young Stars at 7 pm. A game between P-Nifa Stin against Junior City will be played on November 8 at 7 pm. All games will take place at Morningside Sport Field in Ixopo.
