2017-12-22 06:00

LEARNING equipment, including laptops and books, were donated to the rural Mkhatshana Junior Secondary School in Umzimkhulu by Absa bank on December 1.

Four water tanks were also donated to alleviate the impact of the drought on the school.

Absa bank provincial manager executive, Faisal Mkhize, said the bank contributed to the school to give hope to pupils.

“The school seeks to promote academic excellence and is passionate about teaching computer literacy skills to pupils from Grade R to Grade 9,” said Mkhize.

Officials from the Department of Education, Umzimkhulu Local Municipality and the National Teachers Union attended the official handover. - Supplied.
