ACCORDING to information released by police, the Mbali Lodge in Kokstad was robbed by unknown men last Friday. Money was taken, but staff were unharmed.
Police spokesperson Captain Dumisani Ncongo said an unknown man entered the lodge at 6 pm and demanded money from an employee.
“His face was covered with a balaclava and he carried a bush knife when he threatened the employee,” said Ncongo.

The man took R12 000 and disappeared. Ncongo said police are investigating a case of business robbery but no arrest have been made yet.
Ncongo said police are also investigating a hijacking after an Audi A4 car was hijacked near Westland School last Friday.

“The driver of the Audi A4 was stopped by thugs driving a BMW and demanded the keys and cellphone from him, then they left with his car,” said Ncongo. The police are investigating.
