NONKQUBULELA Primary School in Kokstad promoted cultural diversity at a special event held at the school on Friday, September 21.

The school’s head of department (HOD) Gertrude Mento said pupils participated in traditional dances, poems, and choirs performed on the day. The pupils were also treated to traditional food.

“The school acknowledged diverse cultures and gave pupils a platform to showcase their talents through cultural activities,” Mento said.

Teachers and pupils commemorated the day by wearing traditional clothes.

Prizes like lunch boxes, toiletries, and stationery were awarded to pupils at the event.

Mento thanked sponsors for supporting the event.
