Schools’ football tournament coming to Kokstad

A SCHOOLS’ football tournament to identify football talent is to be hosted at the Mount Currie Senior Secondary School on August 12 and 13.
A sport academy is to be launched in Mount Currie this year and sport facilities are being refurbished at the school.
The chairperson of Harry Gwala Sport Confederation, John Motsa said the tournament is open to Grade 6 and 7 pupils in Kokstad and surrounding areas.
Schools have to pay an affiliation fee of R500.

“A total of 30 football players will be selected during the tournament to study at Mount Currie Secondary School from January next year. The selected players will also receive football training and coaching at the school,” said Motsa.

They will be given money, trophies and medals as prizes. - Supplied.
