ON Tuesday May 8, the St Monica’s first rugby team played their first match for the season against King Edward High School.

The match was tough and interesting.

While St Monica’s boys showed strength with a strong defence, King Edward High won the match after playing a good game.

On the same day, the hockey girls played in the EG Challenge and showed improvement as they obtained third place.

The following day on May 9, St Monica’s u7 and u8 rugby players played against Focused School, while u14 and u16 hosted King Edward High School.

The u14 rugby boys played well with improvement when they played against u14 King Edward High School team.

The school also gave back to the community that day as Grade 10 pupils handed out food and clothes to a four-year-old girl as part of school’s first community outreach project.

Social workers informed the school about the terrible situation of the young girl and pupils responded by collecting clothes and food.
