MATATIELE Community Church (MCC) in Pholile village held a beauty contest for Sunday school children last Sunday and contestants were given certificates for entering the competition.

Nikeziwe Nqodi (13) and Lucky Moloise (13) won the competition. It was entered by 30 children from local churches in Matatiele. Pastor Michael Baraza from the church said the competition was held to build self-confidence, communication skills and self-esteem in the children. “Many children enjoyed the competition as we told them to have good morals,” he said.

He thanked Avela Swelankomo, Siphamandla Ntloko, Thabile Baraza and Lungiswa Mgoloza, who organised the event.
