Three arrested for possession of suspected stolen property

SAPS have arrested three men between the ages of 31 and 39 years of age for allegedly stealing stock in the Glebelands area on July 5.

“Upon questioning the men, it was established that they had stolen a cow from Ixopo and slaughtered it,” said SAPS spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala.

Gwala said the men were caught by police who were patrolling in Glebelands area.

“Police noticed a white Mazda 323 with three men inside who looked suspicious.

“Upon inspecting the vehicle, police discovered , at the back of the car, a man who was sitting next to a slaughtered cow,” Gwala said.

The men were arrested immediately and charged for possession of suspected stolen property.

The suspects will appear at Umlazi Magistrate’s Court soon. — Supplied.
