It’s that time of the year when the local government is engaging communities in line with the municipal legislative framework.

The honourable Mayor of uMzimkhulu, Mphuthumi Mpabanga, will be engaging with uMzimkhulu communities through the IDP programme. This programme significantly showcases that the council of uMzimkhulu is informed by its own communities when consolidating its budget.

It’s on that note that all stakeholders operating in uMzimkhulu are invited to join the municipality as it will be going through all the wards during the IDP outreach programme.

The mayor of uMzimkhulu once again would like to congratulate the matriculants on reaching their final exams, regardless of challenges they encountered throughout the year.

We would also like to call upon all parents to support these future leaders, because the future of South Africa, uMzimkhulu in particular, depends on them.

Our committees have been elected according to different sectors, and have a critical responsibility thereof.

We would like to invite all our community members to relevantly report all their challenges to these ward committees well in advance, in order to reach the municipality amicably.

It’s on that note that the municipality is empowering these foot soldiers on an ongoing basis.

Until we meet again.
