2016-02-12 06:00

WARM greetings

Gender-based violence programme

Umzimkhulu Municipality and stakeholders observe there is mounting violence that targets women and children. Collaborating with SAPS, the Red Cross, the Department of Social Development, Department of Community Safety and Liaison, Council of Churches and Umzimkhulu Municipality has embarked on an awareness campaign. The first village targeted is Mfulamuhle.

Gaybrook electrification

After certain issues hindered the progress of electrification in Gaybrook Village, it is with pleasure we announce that after consultation with relevant stakeholders those issues were successfully dealt with and as a result the contractor is back on site. I applaud role players for the maturity they have shown during these processes.

KZN Legislature in Umzimkhulu

To enhance public participation and talk about strategic infrastructural projects in Umzimkhulu and Harry Gwala in general, the KZN Legislature recently held its public seating in Umzimkhulu (Clydesdale Township). The members of the legislature express their satisfaction about how this rural town is growing.

Until we meet again.

Thank you.
