Umzimkhulu Local Municipality viewpoint

2016-08-26 06:00

WARM greetings.
New leadership, fresh mandate

It is with great pleasure that I share with the community of Harry Gwala District, Umzimkhulu and surrounds in particular, that this municipality had a smooth council sitting that inaugurated its councillors.
We commend stakeholders, especially the local office of IEC, for being decisive when articulating election proceedings. I also applaud the political fraternity for displaying political maturity and tolerance during the event.

Formulation of municipal committees
Phase one of the council had been finished, and to put the meat on the bone municipal committees have to be urgently formulated so that project and programmes of this rural municipality start.
This municipality has set a particular standard in terms of service delivery meaning its administrative operational plans and objectives have always been sober, therefore the formulation of these committees is paramount.

Until we meet again.

Thank you.
