COMMUNITY members of Nkau village, in Matatiele, came together to assist a needy member of their community who had been living in an old shack, donating groceries to the woman and building her a new shack to help restore her dignity on July 18.

Businessman Vuyolwethu Stuurman said the woman was at risk because the old shack had big holes in it and a falling down roof.

“Local people donated material and groceries so the woman can live a better and healthier life. People will be collecting clothes and mattresses to give to her on August 9,” he said. He asked that other communities also support those in need.
