PEOPLE from Koksatd and surrounds will be spoilt for choice this weekend as well known artists will entertain at two events tomorrow.

DJ Tira, Heavy K, Euphonic, DJ Mbuso and local artists will perform at the second annual GKM DJ Festival at Oval cricket grounds from 12pm to 3am. Phindile Gwala and KC of Umhlobo Wenene FM will emcee.

Also on Saturday, from 6pm to 4am, Nobhula Events and Marketing in partnership with Generic Touch Events are hosting the All Black Everything event where TV actor Khaya Dladla, known as GC, will emcee at 727 Lounge and Grill. Artists to perform are Duncan, Tipcee, Answer, Benrito, and others.

Khaya Mzaza one of the All Black Everything organisers told Fever the event is hosted by those who formed part of the last year’s GKM DJ Festival, but did not say why they pulled out of this year’s event.

He said the fun event will boost the local economy.

Lundi Mtatambi, organiser of the GKM DJ Festival said he is not intimidated by the All Black Everything event as it is hosted by people he worked with when he hosted GKM DJ Festival last year.

“Everyone has a right to host an event at any time. I am aware there is All Black Everything event this Saturday, but I am not aware who is organising it,” said Mtatambi. He said security is going to be tight in and around the Oval cricket grounds and his event will also be a platform to promote local artists.
