A KOKSTAD woman and her boyfriend are nursing stab wounds after being attacked last Thursday, by someone known to her.

She has appealed to police to arrest the man promptly.

Noloyiso Bandla (23) alleges that the man attacked her with a knife while she was at work.

“Last Thursday morning, I went to the
Kokstad Police Station to apply for a protection order against him after he threatened me.

“ In the afternoon, he arrived at my work place and asked me about his burnt clothes.

After I told him that I had no idea what he was referring to, he got angry and stabbed me,” said Bandla.

Bandla added that her boyfriend was also stabbed during the incident for protecting her.

They were both taken to EG and Usher Memorial Hospital with stab wounds and released on Wednesday.
SAPS spokesman Captain Dumisani Ncongo said a case of assault with the aim of causing grievously bodily harm was opened.

“No arrest have been made yet,” said Captain Ncongo.
