Woman reports boyfriend for bodily assault

A 25-YEAR-OLD woman from Kokstad alleges that she was beaten by her boyfriend on June 25.

“It is alleged that the woman was visiting the man in his house when she discovered another woman in the house. An altercation broke out and the woman was allegedly beaten by the man,” said SAPS Captain Dumisani Ncongo.

He said the woman sustained injuries and opened charges.

He said the man was arrested and charged with assault with intent to cause grievously bodily harm. The man will appear in the Kokstad Magistrate’s Court soon
