Woman robbed of thousands at home

A CASE of house robbery was opened after unknown men broke into a house next to Mount Currie High in Kokstad on Friday night, demanding money from a 23-year-old woman who was inside.

According to SAPS the woman was sleeping with her younger brother and a child when they entered.

The men tied the woman up with rope and covered her mouth with a cloth.

They fled with R54 000 in cash and cellphones valued at R13 000.

SAPS spokesperson Captain Dumisani Ncongo said no arrest has been made yet and investigation is under way.
