“Harry Gwala District is one of the most rural places in the country with lots of women running small businesses like selling sweets and cakes in the streets. Some women are running salons and they need to be capacitated to market and grow their businesses,” said Mnguni who runs a shisa-nyama and a catering and décor business in Umzimkhulu.

Mnguni said that many unemployed young women who are graduates in the district lacked information on how to establish businesses. Mnguni said that young women need to be empowered in business.

Government departments and private companies will be giving presentations at the event. Ukhozi FM radio presenters Nonhlahla “Mroza” Buthelezi will be the guest speaker while Boniswa Moto will be the emcee.
