YOUNG and old women attended the Women’s Day event hosted by the Dr Nkosazana-Dlamini Zuma Municipality in Bulwer on August 24 and speakers encouraged them to play a significant role in developing society.
Problems faced by women were tackled at the event.

The Dr Nkosazana-Dlamini Zuma Mayor, Ngeneleni Mncwabe, encouraged young women to work hard to accomplish their dreams.

“I want women to seek opportunities in government and in the private sector,” said Mncwabe.

The municipality wants to partner with the Department of Trade and Industry to expose rural­ women to business opportunities.
