SEVERAL teams played at the launch of the Work and Play Tournament at Umzimkhulu College on Wednesday.
The Greater Kokstad Municipality football team has shown great
improvement after beating two teams.

Greater Kokstad beat Highflats SAPS 2-1 and Ibisi SAPS 1-0.

Team manager, Lungelo Khefu said the team is promising to do well for the rest of the season.

“In the previous league we won several games and the club was promoted to play in the championships in Newcastle, but were defeated,” said Khefu.

The league is supported by
the Department of Sport and
Recreation for civil servants to participate in.

Some government departments that form part of the tournament include the Department of Education in Umzimkhulu and Kokstad, the Kokstad Department of Correctional Services, the Department of Health,
employees of EG and Usher Memorial hospitals, St Margaret Hospital and SAPS from Kokstad and Umzimkhulu.
