Last Saturday the girls wore traditional clothing at an event to celebrate crop production in Madungeni village organised by the local chief and the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs.

MEC from the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs Sihle Zikalala and former African Union chairperson, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma attended the event and encouraged communities to continue using their land to produce crops.

Zikalala told the locals to plant vegetables to sell to supermarkets.

He warned young girls not to fall in love with old men because they will contract sexual diseases like HIV and Aids.

“I want many young girls to take virginity testing seriously because it will help them,” said Dlamini-Zuma.
