ONE of KwaZulu- Natal’s PSL hopefuls - AmaZulu - are prepared to go all the way in their bid to avoid relegation.

Usuthu’s hard-working and seasoned defender Marc Van Heerden says although his team seems to be deep in relegation and fighting an impossible battle, the good signs are there.

“What is nice about us is that we are playing well. Also the mentality and vibe in the camp is very positive. We are not going to give up, this is soccer and anything is possible.

“What ever happens, we are prepared to fight all the way until the final whistle. I personally believe we still stand a chance to change the situation,” said Van Heerden.

Usuthu last night played against Polokwane City at KwaMashu’s Princess Magogo Stadium and there was no result at the time of going to print.

The local PSL outfit, Maritzburg United, will travel to face Bloemfontein at Kaizer Sebothelo Stadium on Sunday at 3pm

United’s experienced and evergreen midfielder Kurt Lentjies feels the Team of Choice stands a good chance to hang in the top eight bracket because it’s their aim.

Lenjties agrees that their trip to the Free State won’t be easy or a walk in the park but they are prepared to fight for points.

“Look, to play Celtic at home is always a tough assignment but we are prepared to take them on,”said Lentjies.

As visitors to the Free State, United’s players will have to have nerves of steel because vocal Celtic supporters can be intimidating.

United’s PRO Brian Zuma agrees that their mental strength will be tested.
