Businessman launches recording studio

2015-04-30 06:00

DR. Themba Njilo has launched his recording studio, UHologo. The recording studio, which has groomed and nurtured artists like Nathi and Nkanyiso, is at 151 Jabu Ndlovu Street.

Nathi and Nkanyiso are known for the song Fana noJobe. Some of the artists who were launched at UHologo are Ndoda Maphumulo, Sthe Gumede, Neli Dlamini and Abasindisi, who sings a capella.

The aim of the studio, said UHologo marketing manager Thula Mhlophe, is to train artists at home before they head to big cities.

Mhlophe said the sky is the limit as they invite artists from every genre to the studio.

“We are not looking or inviting artists who only sing gospel. We have talent in our city and they end up putting other cities on the map instead of putting their city on the map.

“Let us produce and direct our own artists and raise our own flag. We do voice-overs and professional recordings of the CD and adverts,” said Mhlophe.

Government departments and people interested in the entertainment industry are invited to the studio.

Njilo is a businessman known for his unselfish behaviour when it comes to touching lives
