A SWEETWATERS deejay is asking the public to vote for him in the Live Your Dream SA Awards to be held in Durban on 28 November.

Siboniso Latha (27) has been nominated in the Best DJ category.

Latha known as DJ “Too Nice”, said he is happy to be a nominee at the event. Judges made their selection by judging gigs, mixing and how the nominated dejay’s songs are played on radio, says Latha.

“Being a nominee means that one is already a winner. This clearly indicates that there are people who recognise my work as a deejay. It makes one feel appreciated and honoured. I will cherish this honour forever.

“The only thing that is left is for people to vote for me. I urge everyone to vote for me. Their votes will not only make me win, it will put this city on the map,” said Latha.

“After releasing my Extended Play [EP] a lot of doors opened for me. My EP was released last year and that is when I started seeing my hard work pay off as I began receiving calls for bookings.

“Being nominated also shows that my work is out there. It shows that people appreciate it.

“This also encourages us young and local deejays to work hard. I have my music playing internationally and I’m grateful for that. Stations like YFM play my songs and that makes me happy,” he said.
