Broadcaster a possibility in NC

2015-08-19 06:00

THE Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) recently issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for a licence to provide a commercial sound broadcasting service in the Northern Cape.

This is the first time in over three years that residents of the Northern Cape are given the opportunity to apply to introduce a commercial broadcaster in the province.

Although one licence will be issued to the successful applicant, frequencies are available in Upington, as well as in Kimberley.

Applications should reach Icasa no later than 11 December.
