Brutal Fruit netball champions rewarded

THE Free State Crinums were crowned on Sunday (07/06) for a second year in the row as winners of the Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League. As champions they received prize money of R250 000.

The rest of the winners in the league were: Runners-up: Gauteng Jaguars (R150 000); Division 2 Winners: KwaZulu-Natal Kingdom Stars.

The best players and officials of the series were:

Defender of the Series: Shadine van der Merwe, Gauteng Jaguars; MidCourt Player of the Series: Bongi Msomi, KwaZulu-Natal Kingdom Stars; Top Shooter of the Series: Lenize Potgieter, Gauteng Jaguars; Player of the Series: Karla Mostert, Free State Crinums; Coach of the Series: Burta de Kock, Free State Crinums; Most Promising Player: Nokubonga Sibiya, KwaZulu-Natal Kingdom Stars; Team Manager of the Series: Corné Marais, Free State Crinums.

The Most Improved Team of the Series was the KwaZulu-Natal Kingdom Stars
