Faith often questioned

2015-09-09 06:00

OUR faith will be tested by persecution, but true believers will hold on to their confession of faith.

The only reason persecution will come, is to discourage your faith. This persecution does not only come from people we do not know, but also from those known, as well as trusted.

It could be your mother, father, brother, sister, cousin or neighbours.

They will ask you if your God is truly alive, and why this and that is happening to you. For instance, why did you lose your job if your God is alive? Or why did God not save your marriage?

All these questions have only one purpose and that purpose is to discourage your faith.

The best thing to do in a situation that seems contrary to your faith is to walk away – when you do so, God will start fighting for you.

Some will say: Before I committed my life to Jesus, my finances was doing well. It might be true, but Satan wants you to be discouraged on the walk of faith so that you give up that faith.

Job was a man who walked by faith and upright before God, this is why Satan attacked him – but glory be to God, he stood firm and was restored by God.

Hold on to your God and you will not be put to shame.
