JENNIFER RUSH, the American singer best known for the million-selling single The Power of Love,

will perform in the Sand du Plessis Theatre on Friday (09/10) and Saturday (10/10).

The Power of Love is listed by Guinness World Records as the best-selling single by a female solo artist in the history of British pop. The song’s influence saw several artists, which include Laura Branigan and Celine Dion, doing cover versions of it.

“Coming to Bloemfontein is a dream come true. I look forward to performing here and feel that it is a great way to celebrate three decades since my first huge record,” said Rush, who resides in New York.

For her show in Bloemfontein she will feature an all-South African band which will add a fresh 21st century twist to her iconic 1980’s songs, as well as some of the more recent material.

The pop star’s talent is also illustrated in her work on songs such as If You’re Ever Gonna Lose My Love, Ring of Ice, Flames of Paradise,

It also saw her collaborate with other international mega stars, including Elton John, Michael Bolton and José Carreras.
