VINCENT BONES, the winner of South African Idols 2014, ends off the June entertainment line-up at the Windmill Casino on a high note with an intimate show for his fans at Diamond Lil’s on Saturday, 27 June.

The talented young performer, who became a household name after triumphing in the hotly-contested reality TV show, will entertain the crowd with his inviting musical style which he describes as “old-school, Randamp;B and retro-soul”.

“I love the old stuff, like Teddy Pendergrass. So even if I don’t know the song, I get the meaning behind it and interpret it my own way,” he says.

The 29-year-old singer’s inspiring life story touched many South Africans during the audition phase of the tenth season of the popular talent competition.

After his mom and uncle passed away, Vincent left Eldorado Park on a train at the tender age of 12 to become a street kid in Sunnyside. A stint in Boys Town, however, turned his life around and he now works as a worship leader at the Eagle Christian Centre in Pietermaritzburg, the city where he currently lives with his wife and their baby boy.

Vincent is a talented musician and is able to play piano, drums, base and saxophone. Fans are in for a truly entertaining evening with the Idols star.

“We are excited to give Vincent a platform to perform live for his Bloemfontein fans later this month. This being his first ever show at the casino, we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us. We are expecting a fantastic turn-out and advise fans to arrive early,” says Leigh-Anne Moss, regional marketing manager of the Windmill Casino.

Bones will perform from 21:00.

Tickets cost R100 per person from the casino’s cash desk or at the door before the show.
