Musical unites

2015-05-06 06:00

PRESENTED by a cast of 80 young artists with different kinds of disabilities, as well as able-bodied dancers, In Blood is a musical which seeks to bridge the gaps that have been created by people with disabilities themselves – segregating, for example, disabilities according to type, as in a society for the blind, a quadraplegic society, etcetera.

In Blood seeks to bring people with different disabilities together. This is to get people with disabilities to socialise with people with different kinds of disabilities, as well as with able-bodied people.

The message carried by the musical is that blood is the only element that makes us equal. Whether we are disabled or not, black or white, we all bleed red blood and that makes us one colour.

Celebrating Africa Month, the In Blood musical will premiére at the Sand Du Plessis Theatre from 14 to 16 May.

A special school performance will be held on 15 May from 11:00 until 13:00
