JOHANNESBURG. X SuperSport will broadcast every match of netball’s pinnacle event across Africa in August with the network confirmed as one of the international broadcast partners of the Netball World Cup 2015 (NWC2015) in Sydney, Australia.

With an unprecedented four African nations competing in NWC2015 the broadcast deal means that fans of South Africa, Malawi, Uganda and Zambia will be able to watch their teams compete on netball’s biggest stage.

SuperSport will broadcast all Allphones Arena games live (48) and all Netball Central games on delay (16).

These games will be broadcast on all channels with the broadest possible reach both in South Africa and across Sub-Saharan Africa.

“We cannot wait to welcome our four African nations to NWC2015 and we are thrilled that this partnership will give their fans the opportunity to follow their teams, and our other 12 nations, on this amazing journey,” NWC2015 chief executive, Marne Fechner, said.

“This is Zambia and Uganda’s second ever World Cup event and I know everyone is looking forward to seeing the flair and talent their players bring to the court.

“I have no doubt the SuperSport broadcast will help create new fans and broaden the awareness of the sport across the continent,” Fechner said.

“We at SuperSport are thrilled to be able to broadcast the Netball World Cup 2015,” said Brandon Foot, acting chief executive of SuperSport.

“Not only is netball the sport that enjoys the most female participation in South Africa, it has proven popular across the continent.

“Fast, dynamic and exciting, the action is well-suited to television, particularly in high definition.

We look forward to bringing this exclusive content to our viewers,” Foot said
